DANDYISM
Dandyism is a fashion style where a person dresses in a way that is elegant, stylish, and full of personality. A dandy look is detailed, and can be a bit artistic. But it is always a polished, fashionable look. Dandyism started with men wearing fancy suits in history, but today anyone can create a dandy look by combining tailoring with color and personality.

Black dandyism came about in the 18th century as a movement where Black people used tailored clothing as a form of self-expression. This allowed those who styled in this way to define themselves beyond stereotypes and to challenge racial segregation.

MET Gala 2025 aimed to showcase the contributions of Black designers and individuals to the evolution of dandyism and its impact globally.

A Dandy Look Might Include:

• A blazer or fitted jacket with colorful pants or skirt
• A vest with a silk scarf or ruffled shirt
• A hat, cane, gloves, or stylish sunglasses
• Fun shoes — like loafers, oxfords, boots, or heels
• Jewelry or bold makeup to add flair

It’s not just about what you wear — it’s about style and attitude.

AT THE FASHION LOFT

Belle's Weddings is an automated wedding venue in a garden. 

LGBTQ friendly, the Minister performs weddings between female/male and  couples  from the same sex too.

All the information on how the wedding works is provided via notecard when people land in the place. 

The area is divided into two: the Ceremony and the Reception.

At the Ceremony area the actual wedding takes place (following instructions provided via notecard when  landing).

At the Reception area, there are cake and champagne, intan for couples to dance and kissing animations -> the heart-shaped red roses on the ground are kissing poses. Couples just need to touch  a rose and pick kisses from the menu.

During the Sail into Summer Event, weddings are on sales for 99Lindens.

Crack's exclusive for this event is Leaves.  Leaves is a full body tattoo done in a leaf pattern.  The Tattoo goes down each arm; down each leg; across the chest and down the abdomen; and diagonally down the back. This tattoo is done in a ombre of the main colors:  Gold, Onyx, and Colors.  Leaves is available in the following appliers:  Omega, Maitreya, and BOM.

Virtual Diva's latest release is Paradise.  Paradise is the sexiest of bikinis with no strings.  The top is traditional bikini cups and the bottoms are a high cut bikini bottom. In celebration of The Fashion Loft's “Sail Into Summer” event, TFL will have a party at headquarters on June 6, 2020 from 1- 4 PM SLT.

The Fashion Loft will "Sail Into Summer" this June!

On June 6, The Fashion Loft will host its "Sail Into Summer" sales and hunt event in Second Life. The event is a new addition to its current lineup of events to show our continued appreciation for the creators who have supported TFL, as well as a way to promote main store shopping.

The event will start at 3 PM SLT.

Using a HUD, hunters will be able to teleport to participating stores, and find hunt items for 1 L, and sales items for 99 L. 

The Fashion Loft will host a number of events during this month to celebrate. The first event will be the Opening Day party at TFL Headquarters on Saturday, June 6.
