ARKONA -Iris Special Edition (Fantasy Faire)

 

ARKONA's newest release is Iris Special Edition available at the Fantasy Faire. 

Iris Special Edition is a Fantasy Faire Exclusive with 100% of its proceeds going to The American Cancer Society. 

Iris is a stunning outfit made up of three pieces:  a dress, staff, and halo. This outfit with its mix and match pieces is perfect for fantasy role play or wear the dress alone for romantic dinners.  

The dress is a strapless, sweetheart neckline, wrap-around asymmetrical over skirt, mini under-skirt with a jeweled fastener at the waist.  The print is an original abstract piece of art done in golds and purples.  Iris is available for Belleza (Freya, Isis, Venus), Ebody, L, M, S, Maitreya, and TMP mesh bodies.

The staff is gold and accented with crescent moons, twisting rose vines, and delicate pink roses.  There are three wands included:  no pose, right hand hold pose, and left hand hold pose.

The halo is another original piece of art done by FINDtheFISH.  Its a black celestial background, with a layer of purple haze, with gold circles on top of that.  It gives the look of a beautiful portal to another dimension.  The halo is adjustable and moveable so you can create that perfect look.

ARKONA - Darina (Dress & Headscarf)

 

ARKONA's newest releases are Darina dress and headscarf.  This outfit is a chic spring/summer combination that is perfect for work, shopping, luncheons, and dinners.  The dress is a knee-length, strapped, form-fitting, sheath dress.  The scarf is an over the head and around the neck "Grace Kelly" style scarf.  The print for both of these items is based on the Russian Pavloposad shawls created more than 2 centuries ago. The traditional patterns on the scarves are leaves and flowers made from 20 to 40 colors, which makes the images realistic and voluminous.

This week's challenge was pastels.  With pastels I think of babies or romance.  I chose to go romantic.  My favorite color is blue.  I found a romantic pastel blue gown.  I then headed to one of the most romantic places on the grid Luane's World.  I found this beautiful fountain with graceful architecture and plenty of twinkle lights.

Idun is the Norse goddess of spring, rejuvenation, and youth.  She was the keeper of the magic apples of immortality, which the gods must eat to preserve their youth.  My dress is green for Spring.  It also has the Tree of Life and Scandinavian symbols.  My hair is adorned with apple blossoms and I have a basket of apples.

ARKONA - XiaoLong

 

ARKONA's newest release is XiaoLong; which means Little Dragon.  It is a traditional Chinese Cheongsam gown that can be used for role play or for Chinese celebrations.  XiaoLong is a long-sleeve, mandarin-collar, maxi-length, fitted dress with slits up both sides and a pair a pants underneath.  It has a solid background with gold Chinese dragons and gold trim.  It is made for Maitreya mesh bodies.  XiaoLong is available in 6 colors:  red, green, gold, pink, purple, and blue.

For my vintage throwback style, I chose the late 60's early 70's.  This can be seen with the clothing's earth-tones and geometric patterns along with the off the shoulder jacket and peg legged pants.  I accessorized with dark brown platform sandal with a chunky heel and large gold square earrings.  The hair is transitioning from the beehive to longer locks.

ARKONA - Svetlana

Svetlana is a modern version of an Eastern European traditional folk costume.   The oak leaves symbolize strength and the acorns symbolize potential.

The top has a square neckline with funnel sleeves and a figure flattering banded Basque waist.  The front of the top is embroidered with a traditional geometric pattern. The sleeves are embroidered with a band of oak leaves and acorns at the elbow and a pattern of acorns at the wrist.  The waist is a wide band with a white geometric pattern.  The bottom is an A-line, ankle length skirt with embroidery of oak leaves and acorns running down the front and a trim of acorns around the hem.

ARKONA - Snegana Winter Coat

 

The design of the ARKONA Winter coat was inspiration from Slavic winter fairy tales and traditions. One such tale tells of a young winter maiden who wanders through snow-covered forests and fields, caring for all living creatures. Known as Snegurochka, she is the granddaughter of the main winter god, Morozko (or Ded Moroz to the common people), who brings gifts for the New Year in Russian traditions.

 
Each Winter Coat outfit reflects a different aspect of Snegurochka, such as a snowflake, a fox, or a winter night. Winter Coat comes in six sets.  Each set is named with the Russian word for snow, "SNEG," and is crafted from fur and ethno textures.

I invite you to discover the many magical facets of this character and to be kind and supportive to all living beings throughout this winter season.

Snegana Winter Coat is a modern fun winter coat with touches of older Eastern European traditional folk costume and textures.  Snegana is like a bright winter day with its white background, blue snowflakes, and light blue fur.

The hat is a fur roller with fur trim and a crown made of the same fabric as the coat.  It is adjustable to fit any head size or hair style.

Winter Coat is a mid-thigh length, ethno textured,  princess line coat with a shoulder-length hooded cape, a single line of intricately sculpted metal buttons down the front, and fur trim around the sleeves and hem.
