The Expo, the largest holiday venue in Second Life, supports the Society and its fight against Childhood Cancer.

Miss Virtual World 2021 - 6th Runway Challenge

 On November 21, 2020, Miss Virtual World held its 6th Runway Challenge at the NY NY Piano Bar.

To style the world famous Belgian statue Manneken Pis in the style of the famous Belgian male fashion designer Dries Van Noten from his Fall/Winter 2020 Collection.

BACKGROUND STORY

Kitty finally had a break in her modeling schedule.  She decided to vacation someplace new, Belgium.  Wanting to be comfortable and fit in, she decided to dress in the colors of the Belgium flag; black, yellow, and red.  Still being fashionable, she chose to dress in the style of the famous Belgian fashion designer Dries Van Noten.  His Fall 2020 collection was full of layering, furs, plaids, sweaters, and organic prints.  She decided to wear a white button-down shirt with a yellow sweater; a black, red, yellow plaid trench coat; black dress pants; red and black platform boots, and a black fur Russian military style hat.  To keep a little piece of Poland with her, Kitty wore her white eagle pin.

Kitty’s flight was uneventful.  She immediately checked into the Steigenberger Wiltcher's Hotel and unpacked.  She decided to take a short venture.  She first stopped for a snack at Mokafe for Belgium Waffles and a cup of coffee.  Then she went to the world-famous bronze fountain sculpture Manneken Pis.  It is amazing how this fountain of a little naked boy peeing unites a country and shows its sense of humor.

Today was the rehearsal for the Miss Virtual World 2021 6th Runway Challenge.  Tomorrow Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 10am SLT will be the actual challenge being held at the NY NY Piano Bar.  This challenge will pay tribute to the current Miss Virtual World, Morgan Whitfield Firehawk.  The challenge theme she selected for us  "ANDROGYNOUS FASHION MANNEKIN PIS STYLE" with inspiration from the Belgium male fashion designer Dries van Noten with Elements from his Fall/Winter2020 collection.

Miss Virtual World 2021 - Branding Challenge

Miss Virtual World, this last weekend, held its branding challenge.  We were to freshen up the look and image of the BOSL family of products, and appeal to a wider cross section of Second Life.  We were also to plan an event to launch the new re-branded look.

My event was a Relaunch Party.  A party on the BOSL sim.  There would be food and dancing.  There would also be booths set up for each of the BOSL organizations.  People could go to each booth to get information and to talk to someone about each part of the organization.  Tours would also be offered so people could see all that the campus has to offer.

For the event we were to dress in Casual Chic or Business Casual  using Winter 2021 Fashion trends.  I chose to wear the fashion trend of quilting and incorporated red for Poland.

BACKGROUND STORY

Kitty, a member of the Polish intelligence agency, has been working in Japan for several years fighting an organized crime organization that is taking hold in Poland.  With internet image searches and facial recognition software, it is getting harder for agents to conceal their identity.

As Kitty was heading to her dojo, she noticed a tail.  She dodged into a store and found the rear exit.  She ran down the alley; into the first open door.  It was a geisha establishment.  She told the geishas her situation.  They shot into action disguising her.  Kitty removed her clothes revealing her fighting yellow bodysuit.  The geisha covered her bodysuit with a red kimono and a black fur shawl.  They pulled her hair up and donned her head with an exquisite headdress.  They painted her face in traditional red makeup.  Kitty quickly put geta on her feet.  The head geisha handed her a katana for protection.

The tension grew with each passing minute.  Suddenly, there was a large crash as the front door was kicked opened. The assassins started pushing and hitting the geishas.  Kitty bolted out the front door. She took on the assassins.  The fight was fierce, but she won.

It was the holiday season. Kitty had been shopping with her mother to get the ingredients for their 12 course Traditional Polish Christmas Dinner. Just as she was finishing unloading the groceries, her cell phone rang. It was a modeling friend reminding her about the agency Christmas Party. Looking at her watch, it was 6:00pm and the party started at 8:00pm. Kitty kissed her mom goodbye and dashed home.

“What am I going to wear?” thought Kitty. My friends have seen everything, and I didn’t buy something new. Kitty remembered that the latest fashion trend was using vintage/retro lingerie to create new outfits. She quickly knotted her hair and began digging through her closet. She found a sheer gold top, a red bra made more interesting by removing some of the lining, a gold corset, a gold overskirt from another dress, and a red mini skirt. She quickly dressed; accessorized with gold platform stiletto heels and a gold and ruby jewelry set. As she headed out the door, she grabbed a strip of garland and strategically placed it in her hair.

Kitty arrived at the party fashionably late. She had a wonderful time; receiving many complements on her outfit.

Virtue's new release is Nani.  Nani is a great mix and match outfit that would be perfect for home, shopping, and casual events.   The top is a half sleeve length with and under 3/4 sleeve length, a boat neckline with straps, waist length colorful patterned shirt.  The skirt is a plain denim mini-skirt.  The pants are a pair of plain black cropped leggings.  Nani comes in Blast, BLM, Noire, and Paisley. Miss Virtual World 2021 - Fifth Runway Rehearsal

Miss Virtual World 2021 - Fourth Runway Challenge

 

On Halloween, Miss Virtual World 2021 held its 4th Runway Challenge. It was filled with new creatures for Halloween Movies.

BACKGROUND STORY

Kitty just finished work. She put her cape on and fastened it with her Polish White Eagle pin. She needed to get home to hand out Halloween candy. So, she took the shortcut through the woods.

The wind became fierce making it impossible to walk or see. Suddenly, everything went black. Kitty awoke lying on the ground. She began dusting herself off. SHE FROZE. Slowly lifting her hands, they were blue. She noticed she was wearing a gold bodysuit; a colorful patchwork jacket; a pin striped skirt; black hose; black boots; and her Polish White Eagle pin.

Kitty quickly found a pond. She was shocked to see: short red hair; huge black eyes; stitches through her brow and mouth; and blue skin. Unexpectedly, a masked child ran by and said, “Hi Jane. See you later at your parents’ party.”

Parents? Suddenly, a couple was heading towards her with their ghost dog. Kitty dodged behind a tree. The man was tall, skinny, large black eyes, and dressed in pin stripes. The woman had long red hair, a patchwork dress, and stitches across her brow and mouth. They called each other Sally and Jack. They were talking about Jane coming home tonight. Shocked, Kitty stepped backwards on a twig. Hearing the snap, the dog darted. She started running but tripped and fell. Everything went black.

Kitty awoke lying on the ground. Her head throbbing, she quickly looked at her hands and clothes. They were normal. It must have all been a dream.
