The Taus (or tawus), meaning "peacock," is a bowed string instrument from North India, frequently called the mayuri veena. Developed in the 17th century by Sikh warrior-saints, it features a wooden peacock body, sitar-like frets, and sympathetic strings. This was the inspiration of several of Good Fairy's newest releases.

FANTASY FAIRE 2026:  GOOD FAIRY - Tawus Gown and Headcover is a gorgeous outfit that will make you the center of attention at Indian events, celebrations, or weddings.  This is a long sleeved, boat neckline, trumpet style gown with the bodice adorned with the image of a beautiful male peacock and the skirt trimmed in gold. ARKONA is celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival from October 3-7, 2025 with a new Chinese Collection.  This collection consist of 8 items.  Eight is a lucky number in China because its pronunciation, 八 (bā), sounds similar to the word 发财 (fācái), meaning "to become rich." Furthermore, the shape of the number 8 resembles the infinity symbol, symbolizing constant abundance and prosperity. In Chinese culture, this number is also associated with the Noble Eightfold Path in Buddhism and symbolizes harmony and well-being.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a harvest festival celebrated in Chinese culture. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar with a full moon at night, corresponding to mid-September to early October of the Gregorian calendar.  This year is falls on October 6, 2025.

One of the items in the new collection is QIPAO (traditional female long tube dress)

The qipao (also known as a cheongsam) is a traditional Chinese women's dress that originated as a loose-fitting garment worn by Manchu women and evolved into its modern, form-fitting styles under the influence of Western fashion in Shanghai in the 1920s. Its classic design features a high stand-up collar, diagonal button closure, a fitted cut, and side slits, combining elements of traditional Chinese dress with Western elegance.

Hua Xie are traditional Chinese fabric shoes with embroidery. "embroidered shoes", also known as Chinese shoes, Chinese-style embroidered shoes, and Chinese slippers, are a well-known subtype of traditional Chinese cloth footwear (中国布鞋; zhōngguó bùxié); xuhuaxie are deeply rooted in Chinese culture and are characterized by the use of intricate and colorful Chinese patterns.

My look is inspired by Françoise Hardy—singer, accidental fashion legend, and the ultimate French "It Girl". 

Rising to fame in the 1960s through the yé-yé music scene, Hardy captivated audiences with her voice and unconventional charm. 

Mick Jagger called her his ideal woman. 

Her transformation from shy singer to international fashion star was guided by her photographer Jean-Marie Périer, who helped shape her sleek, trend-setting image. 

Hardy became the muse of designers like Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, André Courrèges and Rei Kawakubo; defining her look, which is as pervasive today as it was back in the 60s, with her signature bangs, white ankle boots, and vinyl trench coats.
