Today was the finale for the LUXE Paris Look of the Year 2024.
Kitty's fashion icon is Jade Pono, LUXE Paris Look of the Year 2022. Jade was a lovely Japanese American who was exquisitely elegant, had a heart of gold, and loved styling out of the box with some of her favorite colors: purple, blue, green, and pink.
Thinking out of the box, Kitty chose the white Maria Bridal Gown by LUXE Paris because it is a nontraditional Japanese color and is embroidered with butterflies. In the Japanese culture, white is for funerals and Kitty wanted to honor Jade in her loss to cancer. White also represents purity, which very much represents Jade with her respect and graciousness with everyone. Butterflies represent transformation, renewal and rebirth, which Jade has gone through taking her to a better place where she is free of her suffering.
To pay tribute to her Japanese heritage, Kitty chose to accessorize with the Orchid Set - Salon Mix by Zuri’s because the orchid is a symbol of beauty and elegance in Japan. The Orchid & Rose Comb by Zuri’s very much resembles a Japanese fan. The Salon Mix was perfect with its gorgeous combination of Jade’s favorite colors.
To complete the look, Kitty chose a traditional Asian hairstyle, Asian style eye makeup, Geisha style lipstick, fan, matching nails and pumps.
